I had the same issue with my 18 Tiguan. Side indicators AND rear back-up cam failed to work at the same time. After a couple of weeks, I took it in to get looked at. Initial diagnostics came up with no solve: got a loaner and 10 days later got it back, working again, all covered under warranty. Now my rear hatch is not working. As PetrolDave says, if you turn off Traction Control it will disable the Front Assist with the Unavailable message. If your Traction Control is switched on and Front Assist is still not available then you will need to see if it has been moved. I had this problem after hitting a large bird at speed. Škoda Fabia.
